V’s 4 months of maternity leave are over and for now, she still has some leave for the year so she’s worked out a 3-day week using her vacation time to offset these 2 months.

So mum comes over every other day and looks after Je-in while we’re both at work. The arrangement seems alright but everyone is getting a little tired i guess.

Dec will be challenging once she goes back to the 5-day work week. We’ll have to see how that pans out.

Had a minor scare a few days ago when V was at home alone. She picked up the baby from the floor and her back went “pop”. Intense pain shot through her mid back and had trouble breathing properly. Luckily my parents were free and Dad sent her to the chinese doc who promptly referred her to the A&E for x-rays.

The scans were alright so they suspected just a muscle pull and gave her pain killers and sent her home.

Even though it was a trying day, we thank God for all the small things like the short wait, the good timing and that one carpark lot in that otherwise perpetually full carpark.
